Position Purpose:
The Shop Mechanic will perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of customer heavy equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment. The mechanic will be responsible for service documentation.
Major Responsibilities:
• Repair and maintain equipment
• Must be able to perform a variety of skilled duties that involve inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, preventative maintenance and repair on general rental and/or high reach equipment.
• Service equipment as required to ensure proper operating conditions.
• Satisfy in a timely manner all require documentation, time-sheets, checklists, receiving records and repair order logs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance as required to ensure the timely and accurate completion of preventative maintenance activities.
• Clean work vehicle and work area as necessary to maintain a safe work environment.
• Meet all company, governmental, & equipment related safety and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
• Previous mechanic experience and/or formal training
Job Grade & Scale:
• Hourly rate: negotiable depending upon experience and education
