Description
This is BamBam. She is 3-3.5 years old and through no fault of her own is in need of a home. I would like someone to take her who has turtles and other aquatics and has a vast knowledge of them. She’s not a first time turtle owner’s type. She has an attitude and does not like me. Never has the whole time I’ve owned her which has been most of her life. I went to buy a bed frame from a couple who was moving and they said they got her from Petsmart and were going to throw her in a pond somewhere. Realizing she would surely die I took her. She was about 6-8 months old then and living in about 3 inches of water with no stimuli and only fed baby turtle pellets. She now loves live crickets, stink bugs, flies, dried shrimp and crickets, and some fruits and veggies. She is bigger than my hand and I do not have the pace to upgrade her. She’s currently in about 35 gallons of water with lots of natural wood to climb on and a really nice 3 chamber filter, and tons of stones both small fish tank stones and large river stones. She will bite me if given the chance and I feel maybe I’m not doing right by her? I’m also pregnant and moving to North Carolina and I don’t want to take her if she already isn’t happy and I have a horse, cat, and dog to take as it is 😞 I have loved watching her grow and my daughter loves her so much so we will not just be handing her to anyone and a rehoming fee does apply because they’re expensive to care for. She will come with a 50ish gallon plastic tub, her travel container, all her rocks, wood, filter, some food, and her heater if you need it.
