Description

Under the supervision of the Head Custodian or Director of Facilities, the General Custodian cleans and maintains the school buildings and grounds, sets up equipment for special events, and assists school personnel with work requests. Duties include: - Cleaning assigned areas of the buildings - Assisting with general cleanup of the school - Cleans and stocking student and administrative bathrooms and living spaces - Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting - Pre- and post-event cleanup for school activities - May maintain and may repair custodial equipment - Assisting with dining facility cleanup and waste disposal - Assisting in maintaining security of offices and classrooms (locking and unlocking the buildings and classrooms) - Checking emergency lights and fire extinguishers, notifying supervisors of potential problems - Assisting school maintenance workers with minor repairs An ideal applicant will have the ability to lift around 25 pounds. Finger printing and drug testing is required. Day and night shifts available.
