About our company: For 15 years RuffStuff, Inc. has been setting the standard for aftermarket off-road parts for the DIY fabricator. Located in the beautiful town of Loomis, RuffStuff has been rapidly growing, acquiring more space, equipment, and employees in recent years. We are a company that prides ourselves on working hard and feeling accomplished while still having a good time, and we are looking to add a full-time Shipping Operations Manager to our team. About the position: In this position, you will report directly to RuffStuff’s President and be responsible for keeping our shipping department running smoothly. You will be managing our shipping team to drive the organization and fulfillment functions of a successful offroad company. You will also work closely with the leaders of our other departments as they all intertwine to make a well-oiled RuffStuff machine. Key responsibilities for this position: Improve and refine processes to be implemented that ensure the warehouse runs efficiently and beyond. Identify what needs to be improved from process changes to tools that are being used. Manage the picking and fulfillment of customer orders daily. Daily communication with peers, supervisors, and other departments via phone, email, in person, and in written form. Conduct work flow to ensure a steady pace of picking, packing, and checking orders Manage the shipping team (e.g. scheduling, task management, performance, etc.) Train new team members Ensure that each order is checked for accuracy and quality before being sent out. Communicate issues to the Sales Manager, President, Purchasing Manager, etc. Assist with leading quarterly inventory. Weekly communication and strategization with other department leaders Read and interpret customer orders. Operate equipment such as a forklift. Load and unload material from pallets and shelves. Maintain a full understanding of your job, the jobs of those you supervise, company workflow, and daily goals. Maintain a professional demeanor and attitude About you: The right person will be motivated to pump up their team to get shipping boxes out the door to our customers. The ideal candidate will be: Experienced in a warehouse environment, preferably within e-commerce Experienced in work that demonstrates you are able to complete tasks and be a team player Organized A strong communicator Able to delegate tasks to others Eager to cross their t’s and dot all their i’s, doing so with a positive attitude Able to write new processes and help us improve existing ones Able to problem-solve Able to lift up to 70 lbs Computer literate Incredibly detail oriented High School Diploma or equivalent Able to make good decisions Schedule: Monday - Friday with the occasional Saturday; 8-hour day shift Benefits: Great health insurance plan Great dental insurance plan Awesome vision plan 401(k) Plan with professional consulting (WE MATCH UP TO 6%!)
