Your primary responsibility would be for the assembly of cargo bikes and commercial bikes (coffee bikes and ice cream bikes) Here are the primary responsibilities of what you would do: • Assembles maintains and repairs Electric and Non-Electric Tricycles • Assesses customer needs and confirming service and product meets those needs • Provide Quality Control based on Ferla standards • Contributes to sales results by knowing FERLA products and services, accurately communicating product information and inventory response processes • Reports significant quality and safety issues to the Warehouse Manager • Assists with maintaining equipment and ensuring a clean, secure, and safe work environment • Support team’s achievement of key goals through individual contribution Bring your passion and expertise You live and breathe by building things. You’re a builder. You’re a safety maven. At Ferla, the Technical Specialist is a critical role in the warehouse and has primary responsibility for the assembly, repairs, and maintenance of bikes. Our bikes are similar to assemble a piece of high-end furniture. It requires a highly skilled and reliable handy person. Requirements of the Technical Specialist position include but are not limited to: • Bike maintenance and repair experience • Packing Assembled bikes; Build Custom Pallets; Make sure the bike is safely packed and ready for shipping • Previous bike assembly, furniture, and mechanic experience or equivalent preferred • Interest in working in a team environment committed to providing excellent sales and service experience while increasing sales through service • Strong attention to detail • Ability to maintain open and positive relations with employees and customers • Interest in developing own skills and knowledge • Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends • Ability to periodically lift 40 pounds Must: General Bicycle Knowledge General Mechanical Knowledge Must have familiarity with basic electronics and bicycle mechanics Must have familiarity with Restaurant Equipment/Plumbing Other Duties: Maintaining warehouse housekeeping duties Maintain supplies Keeping warehouse floor clean and free of debris Manage the removal of waste/pallet recycling Must have the ability to think of “outside the box” solutions Responsible for the accuracy of orders and warehouse inventory management Must be willing and able to work overtime as required, even on short notice Proficient in safety procedures Self-motivated and able to work independently is a MUST Strong interpersonal savvy; ability to relate well to all levels and backgrounds. Computer proficiency, if needed Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently. Organized and able to handle multiple tasks. Self-directed able to work autonomously.
