Partnerships in Community Living, Inc (PCL) is looking for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Transition & Children's Direct Support Professionals who will provide safety, stability, nurturing, and life skills education, while also ensuring every child gets to experience a fun-filled, positive, and loving environment in which to grow and develop.😊 Successful candidates will be ethical, patient, reliable, tenacious, compassionate, able to work independently, and adaptable. This position will require advanced knowledge of mental health and positive behavioral support, advanced training expectations and when appropriate and necessary, sharing of overall department/team goals. This position must encourage the best practice of supporting people using evidence-based therapeutic models and environmental change to achieve consistent, stable and productive lives. Current Openings Include (subject to change*): Monmouth-1 This is a duplex with 2 ladies on one side and 3 gentlemen on another side. When working with the ladies, they love to stay active! Staff are advocated that will provide informed choices, structure, creativity, flexibility, and a devotion to purpose. Some examples of things you could be doing is arts and crafts, watching action movies, or enjoying sitting outside in the nice weather! When working with the gentlemen, they really like getting out for drives! Maybe stopping for a soda pop and burger! They also enjoy being outside in the backyard daily, watching movies, and help put away things in the kitchen. Doesn't matter which side of the house you work on, you'll need to be aware of what's going on all the time. But these people will keep you busy and make your day fun! Be ready to keep everyone excited with different things to do! Salem-2 You will be working with 3 elderly gentlemen who all have different likes. They range from just relaxing and laying in the sun, to shooting hoops (both indoors and outdoors), to listening to classic country music, to watching wrestling, to making trips to coffee shops, to cooking up meals. That is just the tip of the iceberg at this home. Come and find out the other things these men enjoy. Salem-3 You'll be working with 3 young men (Age 12 - 15) who all enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing and water fights and going for hikes. They also individually like legos, chess, muscle cars, cooking, baking, hanging out and video games. They can have long conversations about computer specs, video games and various obscure topics. Coast trips, shopping, going to the arcade and movie theatres are other things they like to participate in during their days off from school. To apply for this position visit this link: Compensation: All employees are paid on a monthly basis. UPDATED Wages are $15.25/hour-$16.25/hour (differential of $1.00/hr for some locations). If you leave this department, your base wage will be $15.25/hr. Full time employees (30 or more hours a week) are eligible for 401(K), Paid Time Off, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance and Life Insurance coverage. Requirements: Be 18 years of age or older. Possess a valid government issued photo ID, driver’s license preferred. Some positions require that you be able to meet agency insurance requirements to be able to drive. Be able to pass a State/Federal background check. Fingerprints may be required. Pass a pre-employment drug screening for illegal substances. Pass a pre-employment computer skills assessment. Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Depending on work location, some positions may require a higher lifting requirement. Training Requirements and Expectations: Attend a required Meet and Greet. This is the scheduled first day of work. Shadow shifts between Meet and Greet and Orientation Training. Attend a two week orientation training in Monmouth, may be flexible with prior communication.
