General Summary: This is an entry-level position in the Construction and Maintenance Worker series involving a variety of construction and grounds maintenance tasks performed in specific areas or as a member of a crew. Essential Job Functions: 1. Performs maintenance and repair work based on assigned projects 2. Fills out and submits project reports in a timely manner using applicable software. 3. Submits time through Job Report software “Crew” for each project daily. 4. Document in detail before, during and after pictures on Job Reports. 5. Conducts Leak Investigation---creating detailed scopes of repair with applicable photos through a Job Report. 6. Communicates with Homeowners/Account Managers and Sales Assistants daily basis discussing projects/expectations. 7. Use safety equipment, supplies, and procedures to perform job duties as required. 8. Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns for the purpose of taking appropriate action to resolve immediate safety issues and to maintain a functional educational environment; provides reports on activities as requested by Production Department or supervisor. 9. Communicate with Field Supervisor and/or Director of Operations daily on expectations for projects assigned. 10. Maintains tools / equipment in a safe operating condition. 12. Assists in maintaining building maintenance---nail roller, misc. items 13. Uses iPhone for entry and retrieval of information for work assignments. 14. Communicate effectively orally, in writing, and electronically with all parties involved in project (Homeowner, Field Supervisor, Sales Assistants, Account Managers, etc.) 15. Transports tools, equipment and / or materials for the purpose of what is required at job site. 16. Ensures environment is safe and that safety requirements are followed. 17. Understands construction knowledge and researches products/procedures based on individual projects and task assigned. 18. Follows up and reads manufacturing installation instructions on all construction repairs. 19. Ensures Quality Control and Job site cleanup. 20. Assists Account Managers, Estimators, Project Manager, Field Supervisor, and Director of Operations as needed on projects daily. 21. Responsible for getting all material and tools needed for the day’s work a day in advance and as needed. 22. Oversees use of all tools to meet safety and proper use guidelines. 23. Ensures that projects are completed in an efficient and timely manner. 24. Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge and Abilities: • Quality orientation and high attention to detail • Ability to analyze information • Knowledge in safety regulations • Understand and carry out oral and written communication. • Perform routine work involving moderate to heavy physical labor. Skills: • People skills • Organizational skills • Communication skills / Bilingual preferred • Multi-tasker Personal Attributes: • Good Work Ethics; Honest, Trustworthy and Respectful; Flexible Availability Education and Experience 3 years of residential construction experience or related required. Physical Requirements Percentage of Work Time Spent on Activity 0-24% 25-49% 50-74% 75-100% Seeing: Must be able to see well enough to read reports x Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, vendors and employees x Standing/Walking: Must be able to move about department x Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up reports, papers. x Lifting/Pulling/Pushing x Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to type and use technical sources x
