We are looking for a maintenance technician to join our fast growing commercial maintenance company. The ideal candidate will have experience efficiently managing work orders as well as experience with roofing and masonry. This position will work with a teammate and be responsible for a variety of repairs across a number of properties. No day will be like the next! Come work for a great team! Responsibilities *Manage and conduct maintenance necessary to satisfy all work orders at assigned locations. *Troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment and cabinetry, roofs, drains, shop, grounds, ground equipment, HVAC, appliances, and building interior/exterior walls and floors. *Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, floors, door hardware, wall-paper, trim/molding/millwork, paint walls, piping, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures and building equipment. *Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings. *Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance. *Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives as related to building operations and safety protocols. *Ability to use technology such as; smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, building automation systems, etc. *Update work orders with required information and pictures. *Communicate with sub-contractors, i.e. plumbers, electricians, GCs, etc. Desired Skills *Apartment and/or commercial building maintenance experience is preferred, but not mandatory. *Excellent organizational skills and an ability to self-motivate. *Computer literate and using the Internet to troubleshoot problems. *Excellent people skills, with daily interfacing with clients, residents, and vendors. Requirements *Experience with roofing repairs and masonry / cement work. *Light carpentry, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair knowledge. *High level of customer service with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve client issues. *Have a sense of urgency with all tasks and be able to meet deadlines *Provide basic tools.
