I'm forming a private training group to study a traditional Japanese martial art. I've been training for 38 years and hold a 5th dan. Training is traditional. Training includes "seishin teki kyoyo", or spiritual cultivation. Our spiritual roots are in Shinto & Buddhism. I will not be charging for training, but I have limited the number of students I will accept. I want to be certain those involved will receive quality instruction rather than commercialized cookie-cutter karate training. If you're tired of kick-punch schools, trophy competition, and surface level training, you might be at home with my training group. Everyone will be required to submit to an interview before any training can begin. If the interview goes well, all new students are accepted for a brief trial period, during which we can mutually decide of this art is a good fit for you. Convicted felons and those with religious beliefs that would keep them from total immersion in all our art has to offer need not apply.
