Millspaugh Furniture House is looking to fill a delivery position out of our Walden warehouse to perform in home deliveries to customers. This position requires lifting and moving heavy furniture on and off of trucks, and through our warehouse, showrooms, and customers’ homes. The right person should be able to navigate through a home, including stairs, narrow hallways, tight corners, etc. while carrying heavy items. Responsibilities and Duties • Load truck, perform deliveries • Take payments from customers upon delivery and complete necessary paperwork with customers • Drive box truck as needed • Adhere to safety procedures • Transfer items between our warehouse and showroom floors • General warehouse/showroom maintenance as needed, including bathroom and window cleaning Desired Qualifications and Skills • Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 200 lbs. • Must be able to interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner at all times • Must have clean driver’s license (not CDL) Work Environment • Work is performed primarily in a box truck/on the road/customers’ homes environment, subject to variations in temperature • Approximate 40 hour work week, but hours can vary depending on the demands of the job • An occasional Saturday may be required • We offer a compensation package based on experience and capabilities, as well as a competitive benefits program Please respond by email to [email protected].
