A sphere of influence (SOI) is a group of people upon which you have some influence just because they know you. How Do You Build a Sphere of Influence in the Digital Age? Real Estate Sales can be time-consuming, from the first call to delivering the keys, how do you find the time to grow your sphere of influence? Especially if you are always showing, calling, following up, and setting appointments. This is what's known as the time allocation problem. You simply don't have the time to build out your LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and even Youtube. At the end of the day, you are either with your spouse, who is living in the same home as you and probably not buying a house from you. You are also probably hanging out with one of the same ten friends. Marketing for the average Broker means buying more Zillow leads. This is what is known as the Red Ocean Strategy, not the Blue Ocean Strategy. The Blue Ocean Strategy is a required book for Harvard's Entrepreneurship course. Why? Because it's how you create an uncontested market space and make the competition irrelevant. Red oceans are red with blood because of competition in the same waters (zillow). Blue oceans are clear of the competition.
