It doesn't matter unless it's comprehensible--and compelling! Spend the day with Becky Hopkinson and learn strategies to level up this fall! Attendees will leave with an understanding of how to carry out three powerful comprehensible input strategies, Calendar Talk, Card Talk, and Picture Talk/Clip Chat with their students. This workshop will present strategies that can be implemented by all world language educators. Demos will be in Brazilian Portuguese. After each demo, participants will have the opportunity to debrief and practice each technique in small groups with coaching from Becky. There will be a follow-up workshop on August 19th that will be based on the wants and needs of the group. Additional registration will be required. Same location. ****Because I believe that our classrooms give students a second chance at falling in love with reading--a fundamental skill in building language proficiency, 15% of all ticket sales will help purchase comprehensible readers for World Language classrooms in Nashua School District****
