Making Decorative Mushrooms with Hypertufa!! Join Suffolk Master Gardener Ed Daurio in this fun and informative workshop. Ed will teach you Step-by-Step how to make your own Hypertufa Decorative Mushroom. Hypertufa is a lightweight, porous material used in many different craft projects. It is made from a mixture of peat moss, Portland cement, and either sand, vermiculite, or perlite. Hypertufa projects are limited only by your imagination. Garden containers, ornaments, and statuary are just a few of the popular project items you can fashion from hypertufa. In this workshop, the focus will be on molding and decorating a mushroom statue. You will be able to customize your mushroom to your liking. All supplies Provided. Class size limited to 8.
