We will begin Sunday evening with a social for all who are staying overnight at the conference hotel; The Residence Inn by Marriott (1515 SW Main St, Ankeny, IA 50023) Monday will focus on FCS; What is new at the Department of Education? There will be breakout sessions which will include; Culinary, Human development, Design, Management/careers, DMACC professors will share what they have to offer today's students. Lunch will be provided by Main Street Bakery in Ankeny. Tuesday we will join with Iowa ACTE. Additional sessions will be available that include hot topics across all CTE service areas and disciplines: Incorporating CTSOs, Looking into the full range of Work-based learning for your classroom and programs, Self-study, School-based enterprises, CLNA and Perkins V, Teacher Mentoring, hear an update from ACTE as well as the special Keynote, Scott Stump, Assistant Secretary for Career and Technical Education at the U.S. Department of Education and more!
