Description

Old North State Medical Society (ONSMS) is hosting a family-friendly vaccination drive in honor of Yvette “Butterfly” Bailey The Vaccine Drive will honor Bailey, a leader among Continuing Education students and Black alumni at Guilford College, who was known for her hard work, and her love for Guilford College. Bailey passed on May 21, 2021 and this event is a way to celebrate her legacy and stress the importance of COVID mitigation in Greensboro communities. Attendees over 18 who get vaccinated have a chance to win a $1 million prize, and those under 18 will be entered to win $125,000 in scholarships. Anyone who gets their initial vaccination at this event will be entered twice to win. As part of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services’ Bringing summer Back Campaign, everyone is invited to this Vaccine Drive, even if they didn’t know Yvette Bailey. The Bringing Summer Back initiative is a fun, flexible, community-centered approach to help every organization and individual stop the spread of COVID-19 by urging friends and neighbors to get vaccinated so we can continue to celebrate together safely this summer. Single-dose vaccine Johnson & Johnson and double-dose vaccine Moderna will be offered for adults 18 years and older. Pfizer vaccines will also be available for people 12 or older. No appointment is necessary, no ID or health insurance required, and your privacy is fully protected. For more information about vaccines or the event, visit onsms.org/vaccine. You can find a shareable flyer and social media graphic for the event here: ONSMS June 26 Vaccination Drive Promo Kit. Please let us know if you have trouble opening the file and we can send you the graphic directly. All Greensboro area residents are encouraged to attend. About ONSMS: ONSMS is a collective of African American physicians focused on advocating for better healthcare and education of vulnerable communities.
