Braintree, MA– This year’s Braintree July 4 Stars and Stripes Celebration scheduled for Saturday, June 26, will be bigger and bolder than ever before, and according to event organizer chair Sean Powers, a record turnout of over 10,000 attendees is expected. While many towns are still picking up momentum after the Commonwealth recently re-opened and eased social restrictions, the Braintree July 4 Stars and Stripes Celebration will be the only large public event south of Boston, said Powers. The free family-friendly event will have live musical groups and performers from all over New England, a large offering by a variety of food vendors, rock painting stations and numerous field games for the entire family. This year’s main event sponsor, Quirk Auto Dealers, has been actively involved in the greater Braintree community for decades, and has numerous dealerships in Braintree, Quincy, and Marshfield as well as retail facilities located in Manchester, New Hampshire. “Mr. Quirk has been a part of the Braintree and South Shore community for over 40 years, and we’re honored and grateful to have his generous support of the parade so that we can celebrate all that we love about Braintree, our country and also celebrate the resiliency of our nation as we’ve overcome the challenges of a global pandemic”, said Powers. The Stars and Stripes Parade is scheduled for Saturday, June 26, will span approximately 1.5 miles and will begin at 10 Plain St at 11:45 a.m. and will continue through South Braintree Square ending at Hollis School on Washington Street. Festivities will continue throughout the day ending with a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. For more information, visit http://www.braintrees4th.org/.
