BROOKFIELD, WI — The Brookfield Police Department has received eight complaints about fireworks over the past week. Several complaints were made on Saturday night at different addresses, according to a police report. Two were made on Monday night and the last was on Tuesday. Wisconsin law says that the use and possession of fireworks is illegal without a permit, per Wisconsin Statute 167.10. A Brookfield city ordinance says that fireworks are forbidden to possess or use without a permit, caps and sparklers included.
