NORTH PATCHOGUE, NY — A Harlem man has been charged with a Long Island murder that's been unsolved for three years, police said. Ade Ngaii, 37, who lives on Convent Avenue, was hit with a second-degree murder charge after Kristopher Apel, 30, was found dead inside his North Patchogue home back in 2018, Suffolk County police said Wednesday. Ngaii was arrested by Suffolk police, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals and the New York Police Department Warrant Squad. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Riverhead, Long Island, on Thursday. Ryan Bonner contributed additional reporting to this story.
