All individuals arrested or charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. REPORTS WEAPONS VIOLATION, 2021-06220034, Wilson Boulevard at N. Kenmore Street. At approximately 7:52 a.m. on June 22, police were dispatched to the report of a person with a gun. Upon arrival, it was determined that the witness observed the suspect allegedly pull an air gun out of his backpack and discharge it in the direction of a bird. Arriving officers located the suspect, he was positively identified and three air guns were recovered. Ytiyti Ytity, 69, of No Fixed Address, was charged with Discharging an Air Gun in Public and released on a summons. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2021-06220169, 1200 block of N. Pierce Street. At approximately 10:08 p.m. on June 22, police were dispatched to the report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that a fare dispute ensued between a ride share driver and a customer which escalated to a physical altercation. The parties were separated prior to police arrival and both were treated on scene by medics for non-life threatening injuries. During the course of the investigation, officers determined a primary aggressor. The victim was unsure if they wanted to seek prosecution and officers provided information about the process of obtaining a warrant. BURGLARY (late), 2021-06210068, Unit block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 10:00 a.m. on June 21, police were dispatched to the late report of an attempted burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 1:54 a.m., the unknown male suspect exited a silver SUV in front of the business and attempted to force entry by damaging the front door. The suspect then fled the scene in his vehicle and no entry was made inside. The suspect is described as a Black male with a slim build, wearing a black ski mask, black and gray jacket, blue surgical gloves, black pants and black shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
