Reports to: Direct Reports: Branch Manager Indirect Report: Director of Construction Effective Date: 06/21 JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary: The Field Supervisor will be responsible to oversee, plan, implement and evaluate the installation of air condition equipment performed by the installation production crews. Supervisory Responsibilities: • Supervised the HVAC Installation crews to ensure the workmanship of the newly installed HVAC equipment and duct work is installed in accordance with federal, state, and local codes. Duties/Responsibilities: • Organizes and monitors all work schedules and work performed of the HVAC installation production crews. • Analyzes work orders to identify and prioritize needed installation and start-up’s; evaluates systems to identify issues and cause of problems • Determines parts, materials and other related supplies necessary for repairs, maintenance, or modifications. • Mentors and assist with training of the production crews. • Provides direction and assistance in the diagnosis and reporting of mechanical systems. • Be able to communicate with management, builders, and helpers. • Collaborate with Branch Manager to project the cost of future repairs and equipment needs • Collaborate with Branch Manager to manage crews to keep all jobs on time, budget, quality, and safety restraints. • Provide daily updates on readiness of jobs to be schedule by Branch Manager • Other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to Read blueprints or technical diagrams. • Extensive knowledge of HVAC methods and operation of the system(s) • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment. Ability to use hand tools and power tools • Excellent time management and leadership skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Understanding of safe mechanical practices Education and Experience: • High school diploma. • Must have extensive HVAC knowledge. • 2+ years of experience in residential HVAC • 2+ year of supervisory experience Physical Requirements: • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times. • Prolonged periods of standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders. • Occasional sedentary duties when in office.
