NEWARK, NJ — Students in the Newark Public School District will have a new set of graduation requirements for the 2021-22 school year, a report says.
Unless the qualify for an exemption, high school seniors will have to apply for college financial aid with Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application (NJAFAA), Tap Into Newark reported.
Other new requirements include completing a minimum of 130 credits, earning "proficient" scores on state assessments, completing a thesis prior to graduation, and performing 80 hours of community service. Read the full article here.
