PARKESBURG, PA — A Parkesburg man who allegedly tried to flee from police officers twice, then barricaded himself in a bedroom after a domestic dispute, has been charged.
Parkesburg Borough Police said William M. Mullen, 40, tried to get away from police for a second time within hours on June 17. Police reported Mullen barricaded himself in a room in a Parkesburg residence on W. First Avenue around 6:30 a.m. that day before police took him into custody.
He is charged with Flight to Avoid Apprehension and Resisting Arrest, according to court records.
Police said Mullen had outstanding Failure to Appear warrants, police reported. Bail was set at $20,000.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 1, at the Parkesburg District Court before Judge Nancy Gill.
According to court records, Mullen pleaded guilty in 2002 to Criminal Tresspass, Breaking Into a Structure.
