I need to rehome a young German Shepherd. I will add pictures sometime this weekend (6-25-21). Over the past two days she’s broken into our chicken pen and killed every one of our chickens. Someone dropped her and her sister off at the end of our road, so we took them in, but I loved keeping chickens and I raised those birds from chicks. She isn’t any older than a year, I’m not sure if she’s had her shots but she is black and dark reddish tan and she goes by Willow. She has been in a kennel for up to 10 hours and hasn’t tried to break out of it or use the bathroom in it. We were working on socializing when this happened, but she’s been in Tractor Supply on a leash and been fine/curious. She does have selective hearing sometimes, and I think her previous owners were pretty rough with her, but she’s never snapped at me or my husband and she rarely snaps at our dogs. She hasn’t been around children. She’s been indoor/outdoor at our house, but I cannot have her and chickens so she needs to find a home ASAP before her prey drive turns her on the other dogs or our Pygmy goat. If you have small children or small animals I wouldn’t recommend her for you, but if you’re active and/or have other big dogs, please consider giving her a home. Please message me with any questions. There is a small $50 rehome fee + vet references to assure a good home and no flipping. But she needs to find a someone as soon as possible to prevent her from ending up in a shelter, or, if she gets out of the fence, shot dead by our neighbor who has over 50 chickens. She is a great, happy, intelligent dog aside from her prey drive and absolute hatred of chickens.Again, I will add pictures when I can.
