BIRMINGHAM, AL — Mitchell's Place, headquartered on Overton Road, recently opened a branch at 2305 Arlington Ave. S. The nonprofit will use its new 800-square-foot officeto serve more families, according to a Birmingham Business Journal report. The expansion enabled Mitchell's Place to hire five more employees to bring total employee count to 66. Mitchell's Place specializes in improving the lives of children affected by autism and other developmental disabilities. It was founded in 2005 by Nancy and Allen Meisler.
