East Coast-based, remote position (WFH) This new position is an opportunity for the right candidate to join the Scientist.com team to build out a new product offering. This position will coordinate the online resources for stock market investors of biotech and pharmaceutical companies listed on U.S. markets (NASDAQ and NYSE) tracking the pipelines of drugs in clinical development of approximately 550 companies. JOB DESCRIPTION The ideal candidate for this entry-level position will have an interest in both finances and the life sciences. You will evaluate and collect a range of information daily from press releases, stock events, newsletters and biotech/pharma industry news to input and maintain website content, as well as develop relationships with key supplier/vendors. Many data sources have been consolidated through 3rd party software to facilitate day to day activities. Daily content input updates multiple databases on the website that disclose key information on drugs and where they are in their clinical trials process. Calendar updates of the pre-market and post-market stocks initiate automated notifications for our subscribers to use to make investment decisions. This is a remote, east coast based role reporting directly within the finance department, and works autonomously on their daily responsibilities. No coding is necessary to perform the content updating. RESPONSIBILITIES • Accurately skim, evaluate and collect data daily from multiple sources (press releases, stock events, newsletters and biotech/pharma industry news). • Use website tools to update content used by day traders across the country • Identify key biotech and pharma stock-related events from the trading day • Update company financial profiles with latest stock offerings • Summarize the biotech/pharma stock-related events of the most recent trading day in newsletter format • Prepare weekly stock watch list newsletters including key upcoming catalysts • Discover and add new Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) to the database • Maintain relationships with key suppliers/vendors • Other duties as required or assigned REQUIREMENTS • BA/BS degree - finance related studies preferred and/or equivalent stock market work experience • Database and website content management experience • Ability to analyze information swiftly and accurately • Social media experience (posting mainly to Twitter, Reddit, Stocktwits) • Have an appetite to learn and develop the skills needed for this position • Detail orientated (thorough, accurate, organized, productive) • Can work well independently but has strong collaboration skills • Meticulous proofreading and grammar skills • Fluent in written and spoken English • East Coast based, remote position (WFH) BENEFITS • Competitive salary • Stock options at a pre-IPO start-up company • Excellent medical, dental and life insurance benefits • 401K matching program • Generous vacation policy • Opportunity to impact the future direction of this new product offering ABOUT OUR COMPANY Scientist.com is the world’s largest marketplace for medical research.
