General construction worker needed on immediate basis.. Pay offered $20 -$25 per Hour (or more depending on experience). General Contractor is looking for a construction helper to work general labor duties at residential sites. Will be working with experienced tradesmen, covering many trades. Position is an immediate hire for the right individual. Requirements Valid drivers license and dependable transportation General construction knowledge Job Type: Full-time and /or Part time Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 /hour (or more depending on experience) Experience: 1 - 5 yrs. (Preferred) Work Location: Multiple locations throughout city (North & Northwest city) & some suburbs Labor type: Construction & Remodeling This Job Is: Schedule: Monday to Friday (Off on weekends) Duties: Remodeling: Carpentry helper, tile, drywall, demo, painting, many aspects of construction, etc. Assist in initial setup and cleanup of job sites which may include lifting, carrying, items 10-50+lbs in weight Must have good communication skills. Note: Even though you are paid every Friday at an hourly rate total for the week, you will be expected to fill out a daily work (time) sheet briefly describing details of your day. You will be considered an independent contractor, responsible for your own time. You will be asked only to give enough notice for time off you may request (whether in hours or days). You will receive a 1099 at the end of the year and are responsible for your own taxes. You will not be considered an employee of this company, but rather a self employed independent contractor. You will be working with highly experienced journeymen of the trades and will have the opportunity to learn from them.
