What: Female Cockatiel
When: 8:30 pm, June 22, 2021
Where: Downtown Norwich - City Hall
If you see my bird, please call me. She was perched on my shoulder when I went outside to see the rainbow last night - Monday, June 21 - close to sunset. I didn’t realize she was there until I was about to come back inside. She got spooked by a firecracker and took off. I could see her circling around City Hall over to the Harbor and then Laurel Hill - she is a very fast bird.
Her name is George Eliot. She is extremely friendly and always hungry for ramen noodles, millet, bread, Takis, pizza, her regular healthy pellets, and many, many other foods.
George Eliot has orange cheeks, a gray crest, white wing bars, yellow stripes and accents. She is the most common gray female cockatiel. See the photos for markings and silhouette. She is a year and a half old. This is her first time ever getting loose.
She has a companion here, Ramon, who misses her very much.
She is about the size of a mourning dove or mocking bird, both very common around here.
Thank you for looking!
