A local aviation company is searching for a Jet Engine Technician Apprentice. You will receive all the training and knowledge needed on the job as you go. You will assist with ALF502 Turbo Fan, and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) engines’ servicing, repair, overhaul, alterations, testing, operations and much more! Essential Functions of a Jet Engine Technician Apprentice: Perform simple maintenance tasks associated with aircraft maintenance, clean and disassemble assemblies and subassemblies using technical data. Perform limited simple repairs under the supervision and direction of a mechanic. Develop knowledge and skills required to become an Powerplant Mechanic (14CFR Part 65). Operate hand tools and power tools. Follow all company policies and procedures. Drive company vehicles interstate. Use computers to find technical data on aircraft. Additional Functions of a Jet Engine Technician Apprentice: Understand and comply with the Certified Repair Station Maintenance Standard Operational Plan and Safety Management System programs and policies. Provide communication to supervisor, co-workers regarding maintenance functions, technical problems, anomalies, and personal concerns. Maintain personal minimal tool inventory and daily accountability. Follow all company and shop safety policies and maintain professional working environment. Key Skills and Competencies of a Jet Engine Technician Apprentice: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be proficient in reading, writing, interpreting, and verbally communicating in the English language. Motivated, desire to learn, embraces attention to detail, fulfills expectations and carries out orders. Ready to take on responsibilities, join a unique team, pursue opportunities, and elevate personal credentials. Must have sturdy background and abilities related to mechanical, electrical, and basic physics. Understands basic aviation principles and theories. Ability to comply with Federal Aviation Administration regulations and Neptune company guidelines. Operating knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office products. Must be comfortable being observed and closely supervised. Willing to ask questions in the face of uncertainty, lack of knowledge, and safety issues.
