We're hiring full-time employees for our wine warehouse in NW Portland. We have a small, friendly crew that values safety and teamwork. Warehouse Order Picking position responsibilities include: Reading and understanding instructions to correctly pick and safely pack fragile wine bottles from a picking sheet and attached instructions. Wine knowledge not required. Candidate will use hand trucks, pallets jacks, rolling ladders and other warehouse equipment. Candidate should have no problem lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly, pushing, pulling, bending, standing for long periods of time and using hand trucks and pallet jacks. Candidate should be motivated, efficient, and very detail-oriented. Prior experience in warehouse and delivery will be given priority. We train for mechanical pallet jack and forklift use, but previous experience is preferred. Scheduling is Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. The schedule will be 10 am-Close, Mon-Thu and 8 am- 3 pm on Friday. "Closing" means that we leave when all of the orders are pulled, so it varies. With a full crew, it's usually in the 7 o'clock hour. Friday's have a consistent early close time. We're located in NW Portland, west of the Montgomery Park building. We keep a very clean warehouse with special attention given to Covid-19 safety by the employees as well as professional deep cleanings once a week. Pay to start at $17.00/hr. The benefits package (partially paid by the employee) includes health, vision, and dental. 401(k) is available. Paid holidays and sick time included and Paid Time Off is accumulated.
