Drywall patching/repainting

Description

I want to install lighting in a living room ceiling (8 foot high) but before I begin cutting I need to know if there is someone out there who is experienced in patching textured drywall. The pattern is nothing elaborate but was hoping for a reasonably close match. I'll be supplying the paint, thanks.
