80's Rock Band Seeks Energetic Drummer

Good-natured, tempo-minded drummer wanted for an established 80's-genre cover band. ABOUT US: We've been together for nearly two years, and like many groups, are currently re-emerging from isolation. Our band is ego-free and has a cheerful camaraderie. We are serious musicians who understand there is fun to be had in playing live. Our lineup currently features Guitars, Keys, Bass, and Lead Vocals. We are in our mid 40s to early 50s, have experience playing live music with previous bands and are familiar with the local scene. Our vision / style is radio-friendly, familiar 80's rock above all - note NOT soft pop, dance music, or hair-metal. Examples of the 80's bands we cover include: REM, INXS, Simple Minds, David Bowie, The Cars, Greg Kihn, Peter Gabriel, Psychedelic Furs, Men at Work, Flock of Seagulls, The Cure, Billy Idol, The Clash, Talking Heads, The Fixx, U2, and more. We currently rehearse two or three times monthly in a Lower Bucks County studio -- convenient to major highways. We divide our efforts to promote the band democratically and by individual strengths - same goes for voting on song selections. This is a fair-minded project that seeks the right drummer to join in on the fun. Again, no egos, just great attitudes. As for performing, it is our desire to continue to establish ourselves as a band for hire - READ: private parties and select events, 80's theme club nights, area festivals, and the like. Weekend bar gigs are not generally our thing, although we do review bar venues on a case by case basis. ABOUT YOU: • Solid tempo keeper / able to lock-in to a song's recorded tempo and style, but bring a sense of "live energy" when playing • Able to learn songs quickly at home and come to rehearsal ready to play • Easy-going demeanor (hint, plays nicely with others) • Professional equipment • Back-up / harmony vocals a plus • Flexible schedule for semi-regular practices and upcoming gigging opportunities • If you've got the skills and passion for 80's music, we want to meet you! • Also, PLEASE, anyone with a political agenda, personal axe to grind, or Trumpy-beliefs need not apply.
