We are an established, high-tech industrial plant located in Paterson, New Jersey, looking for an individual with mechanical experience who is able to perform all knife fitting needs for our machinery (after training). The knife fitter is responsible for maintaining the quality of the knives within the company’s cutting machines. An ideal candidate will have the following: - Mechanical experience. - The competence to precisely sharpen and fit knives, screws, and threads (we will train on the specifics). - The ability to torque all bolts and work on all machinery that is in need of maintenance - Openness to have a flexible working schedule, to be able to work on machinery when operations are at their down time (scheduling will be negotiated at interview) - Familiarity with handling the metric system This is a full time, salaried position ranging from $50,000 - $80,000 per year.
