Rocky Balboa is a big, orange boy that loves to come up to the volunteers for chin scratches and head rubs. Recently returned to us, he has showed resiliency and so much love. As Rocky Balboa himself said, "It ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward!" With the amount of love that our Rocky has to give, we are sure that he will make someone very lucky by being their furever companion. An adoption counselor will be in contact with you following the submission of your application. If approved, they will arrange a meet and greet at one of our monthly trips to Chesapeake or at our shelter. Visits to the shelter are by appointment only, as we are a volunteer-run rescue organization. All PAWS dogs are spayed/neutered, and current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm. All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.
