Description

QC2's Summer School Classes focus on developing the lab skills critical for brewery QC. This class focuses on pipetting and dilutions. QC2 Summer School Class #1 focuses on the foundations: pipetting and dilutions! Class will start with an introduction to pipetting technique and dilution math before transitioning to hands-on learning in the lab. Participants will become familiar with different styles of pipettes and how to properly use them. Participants will also learn how to properly calculate dilution factors and prepare serial dilutions. QC2 Summer School is brought to you by the Quality Control Collaboratory, a premier beer QC testing lab located in the University of Southern Maine. Luci Benedict, QC2 founder, and Sam White, QC2 lab coordinator, will be joined by Matt Nelson of Bissell Brothers Brewing for these practical, hands-on classes designed to build the skills needed to start up, or expand, your brewery's QC program.
