Orion Services Inc. is a Licensed Private Investigative and Watch Guard firm located on Massachusetts' North Shore. We are looking for independent contractors to join our current team of 1099 Independent Contractors. Although we are headquartered in Gloucester, some of our contracts cover cities and towns throughout eastern Massachusetts including Boston, Brockton, Worcester, Devens, Springfield, Lawrence, Lowell and Essex County, Massachusetts. You must have your own transportation and be willing to drive to all assignment locations. Our ideal Independent Contractor candidates are attentive, punctual, reliable and can follow orders. We are seeking summer candidate for Gloucester Park Rangers to patrol the Gloucester Beaches to promote rules compliance in-order to protect our natural and cultural resources and enhance visitor experience. Other duties include, enforcing rules and regulations, parking enforcement, incident response, coordinating with law enforcement officials and Emergency Response services. Park Rangers may work a up to thirty hours per week (which includes nights, weekends, and holidays). Uniforms and training are provided. Duties include, but not limited to: Conducting patrols across all Gloucester parks and beaches either in your personal vehicle or on foot effectively utilizing patrol techniques and available resources to enforce applicable laws and regulations, provide support at special events, provide visitor services, and other public services as required. Respond to various public safety incidents and medical emergencies providing first aid when appropriate Enforce agency parking restrictions on Gloucester Beaches parking lots. Participate in Search & Rescue (SAR) operations in accordance with agency policy. Other Security opportunities arise all year around, Our staffing qualifications and responsibilities are based on all positions available so each candidate may have an opportunity to work any of our contracted positions. This is an entry level position, no prior security experience is required. Responsibilities Crowd Management Ensure a safe and secure environment Monitor and patrol premises as directed Direct clientele to intended destination COVID Compliance monitoring Qualifications Prior Military (preferred, not mandatory) Active Drivers License Candidates must have vehicle Clean Criminal Background check (iCori) Candidates can not be a defendant with a past or present "abuse prevention order, restraining order or 209A orders" Ability to learn and work in a high profile security field Exceptional attention to detail Open work availability required Current Massachusetts Crowd Manager Certificate Current CPR Certificate Massachusetts Class A LTC Unrestricted (preferred, not mandatory) Pass random drug screening (Marijuana/THC/CDB use IS detectable and NOT permitted for employment) COVID Vaccinated (preferred, not mandatory)
