Responsible for the daily maintenance, improvement, and landscape of all planted and growing areas, all parking lots, roadways, sidewalks, garages and to assist in supervising snow removal. Also responsible for providing a safe and well maintained facility for patients, visitors, and employees. Supervise designated work crews, contractors, and others as directed by the Supervisor of Grounds or Director of Facilities.
• A minimum of a high school education is required.
• It is required that the Grounds Keeper is able to read and write in English.
• The Grounds Keeper must be able to effectively communicate with staff, visitors, and patients.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
• A valid Massachusetts drivers License is required.
• A minimum of two years experience in Grounds Keeping is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• The Grounds Keeper position is a very physical, hands-on, and active position. The Grounds Keeper must be capable of lifting 75 pounds from a ground elevation up to a shoulder height elevation.
• The Grounds Keeper will be required to work outdoors year-round, during all four seasonal extremes, including, but not limited to, rain, wind, snow, ice sleet, hail, and pollen season.
