Description
This class covers skills and information needed to create complex worksheets and to effectively analyze, extract and present information. This class is designed for anyone who already has a strong foundational knowledge of Excel and wishes to develop greater proficiency and mastery. Emphasis will be given to the use of advanced functions and PivotTables. Class format will provide time for the instructor to recommend best practices, explain new concepts, introduce shortcuts, and answer questions. Participants will have time to apply new skills to realworld scenarios without feeling rushed or frustrated. Prerequisite: Excel Fundamentals or equivalent knowledge TOPICS Calculating data with advanced formulas & functionsWorking with range names & 3D cell referencesUsing specialized functions to manipulate text, determine date spans and perform compound interest calculationsUsing logical & lookup functions to analyze and retrieve dataConverting ordinary table ranges to Table ObjectsCreating, modifying and formatting chartsDetermining when to Use Table Objects vs. Pivot TablesAnalyzing data using PivotTables and PivotChartsCreating cross tabulation vs. nested outline reportsRefining how summary values are calculated & displayedFiltering with data Slicers & extracting supporting data on the flyInserting & modifying different types of graphic objectsAdding SmartArt diagrams to a worksheetWorking with cell comments and hyperlinksUtilizing themes and templatesINSTRUCTOR Barbara Hansen SCHEDULE This is a 2 day Course. Class will meet 8:30am-4:30pm each day. Wednesday, October 13th & Thursday, October 14th ATTENDANCE Registered participants who fail to attend a class ('no-shows') will be charged full class cost. The 'no-show' fee may not be used as a credit for another EN class, or other type of event or service. A 'late notice' charge (50% of the class fee) will be charged for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled class starting time. The 'late notice' charge may not be used as a credit for another EN class. or other type of event or service.
