WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington recently lifted its local coronavirus state of emergency, more than a year after putting it in place.
The Board of Selectmen declared the state of emergency March 20, 2020, 10 days after Gov. Charlie Baker declared one for the state.
The Board voted June 14 to lift the local state of emergency. Baker lifted the statewide emergency June 15.
The Health Department reported just six active positives Tuesday, with nearly two-thirds of the town's eligible population vaccinated.
