The Student Clinic for Immigrant Justice (SCIJ) is seeking a Part-time Program Coordinator to help lead its mission by overseeing SCIJ’s programs that train and mobilize college students to provide pro bono representation to asylum seekers and to organize for immigrant justice. The Part-time Program Coordinator will be responsible for SCIJ’s Legal Justice and Community Organizing programs and work in tandem with SCIJ’s Executive Director for SCIJ’s Training program. In addition, the Part-time Program Coordinator will be in charge of supporting students at SCIJ’s partner schools, fostering community within SCIJ’s student cohorts and with other immigrant justice organizations, onboarding and overseeing SCIJ’s Campus Organizers at each partner school, and supporting SCIJ’s partnerships with current and new schools.
The Part-time Program Coordinator will be joining SCIJ at a pivotal moment as SCIJ seeks to build on the momentum of its successful first year and expand to new communities. Having already established programs at Worcester State University and Brown University where SCIJ trained 28 students, provided pro bono representation to 16 asylum seekers, and launched two organizing campaigns, the Part-time Program Coordinator will play a key role in further developing these programs while also growing SCIJ’s vision nationally.
