YAPHANK, NY — One person was killed in a vehicle crash in Yaphank on Wednesday night, Suffolk County police said. The crash took place on Sills Road, near Old Dock Road, at about 8:40 p.m. police said. The "circumstances surrounding a crash," are being investigated by detectives from the 5th Squad in Patchogue, according to the public information bureau. No further information was immediately released by the police.
