His discography is equally impressive and includes nine of his own albums and more than 30 recordings as a sideman. Before becoming a very successful solo artist, saxophonist Marion Meadows honed his craft as a sideman who played with a cadre of respected musicians including the iconic Eartha Kitt, Phyllis Hyman, Jean Carne, The Temptations, Michael Bolton, Angela Bofill, Will Downing, Bob Baldwin, Chuck Loeb, John Lee among many others. His yearly performance at SOUTH Jazz Club is part of Gerald Veasley’s Unscripted Jazz Series and is always a sold out weekend. Another native Philadelphia, soul-jazz innovator and trombonist Jeff Bradshaw brings his larger than life personality and phenomenal playing to the Jazz Under the Stars stage. Bradshaw has long toured with Patti LaBelle and had stints touring with Michael Jackson and Earth, Wind & Fire. *no refunds including for weather related events Green Soul is a live music venue located in the Spring Garden neighborhood of Philadelphia.
