HUNTINGTON, NY — The Town of Huntington on Tuesday announced the planned reopening of its senior center, senior beach house and adult daycare facilities. The facilities have been closed since March 12, 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic. "We are thrilled to welcome back our senior residents for activities and dining at our Senior Center and fun at the Senior Beach House," Supervisor Chad Lupinacci said. "Please call our Senior Division staff to reserve your spot!" Senior Beach House 239 Little Neck Road, Centerport. (631) 261-9186 Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The reopening is planned for Monday, though the beach house will be closed on July 4 and 5. Meal pickup and delivery of five frozen meals will be delivered on July 6 due to the closure of Town facilities on July 5 in observance of Independence Day. Tuesdays through Fridays: The Senior Center will be opening in a limited capacity by reservation Tuesday through Friday only for activities starting June 29 and for meals starting July 13. Reservations may only be booked one day in advance for both or each. Details are below: Dining room meals will take place Tuesday through Friday in the dining room for those not picking up meals on Monday of the same week. You may choose to do a Monday 5-meal pickup one week and do a dining room reservation another week. Reservations are first-come, first-served and must be booked one day in advance, according to the town.
