Dublin San Ramon Services District Electrician II THE POSITION This position requires a skilled industrial electrician with a solid background in the full range of skilled electrician duties related to the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance of water, recycled water, and wastewater process equipment. He/she will be skilled in working on and maintaining motor control centers, variable frequency drives, soft starters, electric motors, transformers, medium voltage switches, co-generation systems, standby diesel generators, lighting systems, uninterruptable power supplies, power distribution equipment; 21kV, 2.4kV and 480V switchgear; and protective relaying. Attention to detail and the ability to QA their own work are important skills. Construction experience is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be a good communicator, skilled in writing work summaries utilizing a computer, and have the ability to work independently, plan and schedule their own work, and exercise good judgment and initiative. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will be a skilled electrician with a solid background in the full range of skilled electrician duties related to water, recycled water, and wastewater equipment. He/she will be skilled in working on the maintenance side of electrical work and have skills in instruction, troubleshooting, variable frequency devices (VFD) and motor controls. Attention to detail and the ability to QA their own work are important skills. Panel manufacturing experience is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be a good communicator, skilled in writing work summaries utilizing a computer, and have the ability to work independently, and exercise good judgment and initiative.
