BELLMORE, NY — A man is accused of robbing Keezac Pharmacy with a box cutter, Nassau police said.
Patrick Devine, 33, demanded a prescription pain medication Tuesday afternoon and placed the weapon on a female employee's neck, detectives said.
The worker was able to escape and fled the Bedford Avenue store. She was treated at an area hospital for a laceration to her right hand, police said.
Devine, who is from Bellmore, was picked up by police a short time later near the intersection of Newbridge Road and Oak Street, according to police.
He faces five counts of first-degree robbery, a count of second-degree robbery, and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance (second and third degree), detectives said.
Devine was scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday.
