PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — As Pride Month comes to an end, State's Attorney Aisha Braveboy will close out the month supporting the LGBTQIA+ community at four separate Pride events in Prince George's County.
This week, Braveboy will speak at a series of Pride events devoted to raising awareness and advocating for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, according to a news release.
The following events are:
June 25 at 3 p.m. – Memorial Press Conference 59th & Eastern Avenues, Fairmont HeightsJune 26 at 8 p.m. – Rainbow on the Harbor Flight Deck Bar at the Capitol Wheel 141 American Way, Oxon HillJune 27 at 2 p.m. – Pride in the Park Duvall Field, College ParkJune 29 at 6 p.m. – State's Attorney's LGBTQIA+ Forum (Community in the Courthouse) This is a virtual event via Zoom. Braveboy's support for the LGBTQIA+ community dates back to 2019 when she established Prince George's County's first LGBTQIA+ Task Force for the State's Attorney's Office. The task force advocates for equal rights, non-discrimination, and access to resources for the community.
"As state's attorney, I am committed to equal rights and fair treatment for all Prince Georgians," Braveboy said in a news release.
