About the farm Collins Family Orchards is a fourth generation family farm growing a variety of tree fruits in Selah, WA and servicing the greater Seattle area. We grow organically, though we are not certified by an outside organization. We have an all-fruit CSA, Online Store, attend many Seattle area Farmers Markets, and supply local business with delicious fruit! Who we are looking for: We are looking for dependable and outgoing delivery drivers to make Store and CSA deliveries around the Seattle area. A typical delivery shift is 6-9 hours. We prefer employees who can commit to the summer and fall season (June – December) with potential to continue part-time in the winter. We are looking for applicants who are interested in full-time. We strongly prefer employees with experience driving a utility van and clean driving record. Extra bonus points if you know your way around Seattle. A two-week trial period will be required to make sure you are comfortable driving our vans and navigating the city. A background check on your driving record will be completed. Extra-extra bonus points if you have a passion for local agriculture, farming background, or love fruit! Position Overview Delivery driving for Collins Family Orchards is fun and relaxed. Attention to detail is KEY! This is a great way to see the city and deliver farm fresh produce to your community! CSA Deliveries: Tuesday/Wednesday: 7am-4pm Home Deliveries: Thursday/Friday: 7am-3pm Pay: $21+/hour based on experience + occasional employee shindigs + free fruit! Location: This position is based out of our warehouse in Georgetown: 1622 S. Graham St. Seattle WA 98108 Job duties include Loading and driving a utility van Driving around Seattle with a packed van of precious fruit! Our routes are contain home deliveries and pickup sites. Usual stop amount are 40 - 60 stops per route. Ensuring quality and accuracy upon delivery Navigating using our delivery app on your smartphone (smart phone and experience using mobile navigation apps strongly preferred, but not required) Completing routes in a timely manner Communicating with the delivery team as needed Cleaning the van after your route Qualifications Please note: This position is located in Seattle. As a delivery driver, you will start your shift at our warehouse located in Georgetown. You must have reliable transportation to this area–there is a bus line that reaches the neighborhood if you do not have a car or bike. This position requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
