TS Landscape Design is a small, eco-friendly landscaping firm in Seattle focusing on sustainable garden maintenance and installation as well as small-scale hardscape projects for a variety of clients. We are dedicated to ecologically sound gardening, excellent customer service and client education, while fostering a positive work environment. We are looking for experienced, self-driven, creative people to help expand our team over the next year. If you have some experience and are willing to learn, we're looking for you! We'd like to bring on skilled people who have an attention to detail and a drive to offer clients a professional, finished product in a timely manner. Professionalism, eagerness to learn and a positive outlook are key to this position. Possibility for advancement for the right person. Basic Tasks: -Regular maintenance tasks such as detailed weeding, edging and cleanup of garden beds. -Seasonal annual and perennial care. -Proper pruning and care of shrubs and small trees. -Seasonal planting and installation of planting designs. -Gravel and flagstone installation for small hardscape projects. -Container design and installation. -Micro-spray irrigation installation and maintenance. Requirements: -A minimum of 1 year professional experience in garden/ landscape care or nursery work would be great. -Basic knowledge of plants in the Seattle area gardens in terms of identification and care. -Some basic knowledge of proper pruning techniques for shrubs and small trees as well as a familiarity with pruning tools. -Ability to work independently or with a team and to ask questions when needed. -Candidate should be able to take direction and perform the work in a timely manner with an attention to detail. -Have good verbal and written communication skills as well as a working smart phone to access job info and maps. -A valid driver's license -A reliable vehicle -Willingness to work outside, rain or shine, with a positive attitude and the gear appropriate for Seattle area weather. -Ability to lift 60lbs and to do physical labor throughout the day. Pay depends on skills and experience. Hours are part-time (15 hours/ week for now) and flexible and I'd like to schedule weekdays 9-4.
