Position Summary
-SET is currently seeking Solar Install Technicians to join our Washington install teams. We are looking for problem solvers, self-motivators, and action-oriented thinkers. We offer competitive pay and benefits. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who want to make a difference. Solar, roofing, or general construction experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
-Install photovoltaic (PV) solar modules in accordance with codes and standards, using drawings, schematics, and instructions
-Identify methods for laying out, orienting, and mounting modules or arrays to ensure efficient installation
-Assemble solar modules, panels, or support structures as specified
-Support crews and Electricians to assure the successful completion of solar arrays/systems
-Compile or maintain records of system installation
-Clean up of the job site
Qualifications and Requirements
-Work with crew members to complete projects within established policies and procedures
-Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety
-Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and client interaction at all times
-Punctuality and dependability are essential
-Must have a valid driver’s license, pass Background Check, and Drug Test
-Background in solar, roofing, or construction (required)
Ability to
-Work long days, frequently lifting 50+ pounds
-Climb ladders, work on rooftops with various angles, work in attics, crawl spaces, etc.
-Work in extreme outdoor weather conditions (hot, cold, rain or shine)
-Interact with co-workers and participate in meetings
-Work safely and follow L&I safety standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
