Job title Facilities Maintenance Coordinator Job purpose The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator (FMC) will be responsible for making sure that our facility and surrounding environment is in a suitable condition for our employees to work and our visitors to visit. The FMC is accountable for both the interior and exterior building maintenance and janitorial duties. The FMC is also responsible for ensuring the proper inventory of supplies necessary to perform the duties are on hand at all times. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Duties and responsibilities Responsible for the overall maintenance and operational functionality of the physical grounds. Site contact for all sub-contracted maintenance and repair services. EQUIPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide assistance in creating efficient production systems and maintain equipment as needed and/or provide maintenance programs. Be responsible for periodic, scheduled maintenance, including preventive maintenance as deemed necessary Be responsible for the maintenance program required for AED and fire extinguishers in all facilities. Assist in vehicle maintenance as requested BUILDING RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain agency spill kits and first aid kits and schedule inspections to ensure continuous adequacy/completeness of contents. Monitor inside and outside lighting needs and replace light bulbs as needed. General repairs and maintenance as needed and secure contractors for larger jobs. Maintain (not repair) plumbing system - sink and floor drains, toilets, garbage disposals, outside spigots, etc. Operate special floor cleaning equipment (owned or rented). Obtain quotes from contractors for larger installations/repairs as needed. GROUNDS RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain clear access necessary for arrivals and departures. Maintain cleanliness of the parking lot area and grounds surrounding the facility. General daily upkeep of grounds in conjunction with contracted landscape maintenance ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate fire/tornado drills. Coordinate quarterly CLEAN audits of facilities. Maintain MSDS (Material Data Safety Sheet) binders at each location. Schedule and complete periodic facilities assessments to identify short and long term maintenance/improvement projects. Independently audit environmental and safety conditions on a periodic basis. Establish and follow facility and vehicle maintenance schedules. SITE CONTACT RESPONSIBILITIES (You are the contact for any work contracted out): Responsible for periodic (scheduled) assessments and inspections of the items listed below to ensure frequency of contracted service is sufficient for effective operations. Responsible for the contacting, monitoring and inspection of work performed by sub-contractors and for reporting any instance where performance/results have not met established standards. Assess and Report the need of any of the following: Janitorial Services (Outside this scope of work) Carpet cleaning (Outside this scope of work) Floor mat and mop service (Outside this scope of work) Vending services Roofing - annual maintenance Fire extinguishers (Outside this scope of work) Landscaping (Outside this scope of work) Heating and Cooling Plumbing Electrical Parking lot resurfacing or major repair (Outside this scope of work) Pest and rodent Control Sprinkler System Special Facilities Projects (i.e.: fence construction, exterior painting, etc.) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to balance, crawl, bend, stoop, walk, kneel, stand, sit, stretch, and climb Ability to reach overhead and in front, lift and carry varying weights Ability to push or pull up to 300 pounds. Qualifications Have working knowledge regarding current cannabis laws and regulations. Self driven and able to problem solve in a complex industry. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and E-mail programs. Ability to multi-task in a hectic work environment. Consistently maintain a safe and well-maintained environment. 100% of required and assigned projects and reports completed in a satisfactory and timely manner. Carry out all responsibilities according to agency policy and within budget allocations. Must be Bondable, provide references and pass background check Must be at least 21 years of age
