JERSEY CITY, NJ — A new halal market officially opened in Jersey City's Westside. Hero Farm is the newest market on West Side Avenue and offers farm fresh groceries, halal meats and fish. Located at 574 West Side Ave, the market's Facebook page shows a larger farm in New Jersey where the produce is grown — the Jersey City market is a new addition where fresh produce is grown. Snacks and non-perishables are sold at Hero Farm as well. Ward B Councilwoman Mira Prinz-Arey celebrated the markets grand opening with a post on Twitter. "Hero Farm is a new halal market on Westside that provides 'Fresh produce from our farms to your home," the post reads. Westside Welcomes Bev's by RJP and Hero Farm!
